The aim of this study is to give general information about the discipline of air pistol, to provide scientific contribution to the development of the shooting branch by mentioning the anthropometry and motor characteristics of shooting athletes, the factors affecting the performance in shooting and the technological systems used in this sport branch. Air gun shooting competitions take place in indoor polygons, with athletes using 4.5 mm diameter diabols to targets located at a distance of 10 m by firing with an air pistol or rifle. Success in shooting performance can be affected by many factors. The research is of the assembly type and the document analysis method was used as a data collection method. As a result of the study, performance in shooting; It can be said that it is affected by basic factors such as anthropometry, coordination, flexibility, balance, hand grip strength, oscillation, tremor, technique, tactics, psychological, physiological and training. It is thought that the study will contribute to the development of the shooting sports scientifically.
