Abstract

In this study, which was carried out with 250 participants between the ages of 13-17 in Wrestling Training Centers, the sub-dimensions of the "Leisure Motivation Scale" and "Leisure Time Satisfaction Scale" belonging to the participants in the target group, geographical region, wrestling category, parental education level, type of recreational activity participated, It was aimed to examine the effects of activity frequency and participation activities on sportive success and to reveal the relationships. In the analysis of the data, “Pearson Correlation Analysis” was applied to determine the direction and magnitude of the relationships between continuous variables and the results were interpreted at 95% confidence level. In the study, it was seen that the number of participants aged 15 and 16 constituted approximately 67% of the participants, the median age was 15 and the mean age was 15.33. It was seen that the participants were concentrated in the Aegean Region with 109 people (43.60%), followed by the Mediterranean Region with 61 people (24.40%), with 16 people (6.40%) at least from the Southeastern Anatolia Region and there were no participants from the Marmara Region. In the research, it is thought that the geographical regions of the participants show significant differences in the scale sub-dimensions and category variables, the frequency of socialization and participation in activities is at a high level, and the positive contribution of the participation of recreational activities is considered to be indisputably important.
