EFFECTS OF SPORTS COMMITMENT ON UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

The study is aimed to examine the effects of university education students on sports commitment. The results of the sports commitment scale of a total of 80 university students were evaluated. It was presented as percentage, frequency, mean and standard deviation in statistical operations. Independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were made comparisons between groups. Statistical results were evaluated at p<0.05 significance level. It was observed that there was a statistically significant difference between the sports commitment scores of the participants according to gender (p><0.05). There was no difference in the analysis results according to the age groups of the participants (p><0.05. The highest values in all sub-dimensions and total loyalty score are in the 24-26 age group. No significant results were found in the analysis of the participants' sports commitment scores according to their living places (p>0.05). It is seen that the most densely populated city center is higher scores. There was no statistical difference according to the findings related to the class in which they studied (p>0.05). As a result, men compared to women; sports activities with more alternatives in sports branches and participation in sports activities in terms of social and cultural aspects showed that men are more committed to sports than women.
