The new type of coronavirus (covid-19) epidemic, which affects the sports world as well as all areas of life, faces the sports world with unpredictable material damage. With the Covid-19 outbreak, individuals who have to stay at home in order to isolate themselves, acquire new activities and hobbies as well as many negativities. Electronic sports (e-sports) games, which offer the opportunity to have a good time at home, compete and socialize, come first. Based on these thoughts, in our study, we aimed to identify and examine the economic and social effects of increased interest in e-sport due to the covid-19 outbreak. In this qualitative research conducted with the screening model, the e-sports sector, which has a large audience in the world and in our country, has gained an economically positive momentum due to the postponement or cancellation of traditional sports activities due to the covid-19 outbreak, and individuals in this process and increased the impression and enabled new branches. In addition, with the increase of technological knowledge and skills, it is predicted that the e-sports industry will gain further momentum in the future.
