It bears importance to examine how and in what format the long-standing concepts of games, toys, sports, and children came together in ancient times. In this study relationship between children, games and sports in ancient times was evaluated. Relevant printed and online resources were reviewed as a data collection tool, and the necessary information was obtained thereby. It can be concluded that many civilizations that existed in ancient times were used to be called by different names, but the games or toys played by children of that period are similar to each other. It can be stated that the games such as Epostrakismos, Ostrakinda, Rattle, Hoopla and Knucklebones that children enjoy are widely played. In addition, although the civilizations in question differ from one another, it can be noted that their games are made of common materials such as sheep / goat animal bones, oyster shells, wood / soil.
